Getting started
Create an account, understand the two engines, and start a free Pro trial.
Free & Pro
StockSetups finds and tracks long trade setups across the whole US market and pushes real-time alerts the instant they fire. This page gets you from sign-up to your first setup in a couple of minutes.

1. Create an account
Click Start free trial (or Sign in) in the top bar. You can sign up with email and password, a magic link, or Google. Signing up gives you a free account immediately — no card needed to use the free tier.
2. Know the two engines
Everything flows from two engines working together:
- Nightly scan
- After the US close, it reads ~12,300 US stocks and ETFs, detects chart and candlestick patterns, and sorts every long setup onto the Daily Signal board with a score and a trade plan.
- Real-time engine
- All session long it fires 35+ intraday alert types — runners, breakouts, gaps, volume bursts, halts — into your Live Tape the instant they happen.
In short: the board tells you what is setting up for the coming days; the tape tells you the instant it fires today. New users should start with the Daily Signal board.
3. Try Pro free for 7 days
Go to Account → Subscription, pick a billing cadence and start the trial (card required). Cancel anytime before it ends in the Stripe billing portal and you are never charged. See Free vs Pro below and the pricing page.
Free vs Pro
The free tier limits which symbols you see — not how much detail each one carries. Every symbol on your free board comes with the exact same full dossier a Pro subscriber sees. Pro is about breadth and speed.
- Free (with login): top 3 of every lane + one candle per pattern type, each with the full dossier (score, 30+ indicators, drawn levels, trade plan); the Live Tape, Top List and scan boards on a 15-minute delay; the full Reddit buzz list and top-3 Congress tickers; every public symbol page, the heatmap, glossary and free tools.
- Pro ($49/mo): all of every lane (not just the top 3); real-time, no-delay alerts and Top List; the full Scanner over the whole universe plus saved scans; watchlists, the multi-window workspace and saved layouts; the daily email digest and webhook (Discord/Slack/JSON) alerts.
