How StockSetups uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have.

This Cookie Policy explains how SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit StockSetups. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as being signed in) over time. We also use related browser storage (like localStorage) for the same purposes.

How we use cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for four purposes: to run the Service, to remember your preferences, to understand how visitors use the site, and to measure our advertising.

Strictly necessary

  • Authentication — set by our auth provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in and to secure your session as you move between pages.
  • Security & load balancing — set by our hosting provider (Vercel) to route requests and protect the Service.
  • Bot protection — on sign-up and sign-in, Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser signals to tell people from bots.
  • Cookie choice — ss-geo (your country, from our host, for one day) decides whether we ask for consent, and ss-consent remembers your answer for 12 months.
  • Payments — Stripe may set cookies during checkout and fraud prevention when you start or manage a subscription.
  • Site chat — if you open the chat, the conversation is kept in your browser's sessionStorage (ss-chat-v1) so it follows you between pages (with a random conversation id, ss-chat-id, that our 90-day server-side transcript log is keyed by); it is cleared when you close the tab. No cookie is set (see the Privacy Policy).

The Service will not function correctly without these, so they are always on.

Preferences

  • Remembering interface choices (theme, layout, tour progress, how you trade) in your browser so the dashboard behaves consistently for you.
  • Notifications — if you turn on browser notifications, a service worker (/sw.js) is installed to show them. It stores and caches nothing (see the Privacy Policy).

Analytics

  • Vercel Web Analytics — counts page views and referring sites without cookies.
  • Google Analytics (cookies _ga, _ga_*) — how visitors find and use the site.
  • Visit source — in your browser's localStorage we keep the site and page you first arrived from (and the latest one, if you return from elsewhere), plus any campaign tag and, when you came from one of our ads, the ad click's identifier (gclid / msclkid). When you create an account, we store it with the account so we know which pages bring new members, and report a later Pro payment to that ad network against the click. It holds no browsing history beyond those landing pages.

Advertising

  • Google Ads (cookie _gcl_au and Google's own cookies), Microsoft Advertising (cookies _uetsid, _uetvid and Microsoft's own cookies) and the Reddit Pixel (cookie _rdt_uuid and Reddit's own cookies) — measure whether our ads lead to sign-ups and trials, and may be used to show our ads to people who visited the site (remarketing).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run third-party ads on StockSetups.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by the service providers named above (Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, Stripe, Google, Microsoft and Reddit). Their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies; we do not control those cookies.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and site storage through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features; blocking analytics and advertising cookies does not affect the Service. You can also opt out of ad personalization at Google Ad Settings and Microsoft's ad settings and Reddit's privacy settings, and out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on.

We honor Global Privacy Control: a browser that sends it gets no Microsoft Advertising tag or Reddit Pixel, and Google's tag runs without ad cookies or ad personalization.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you accept them in our cookie banner: Google's tags start with all cookies denied, and the Microsoft Advertising tag and Reddit Pixel load only after you accept. Change your choice any time: .
