Financial disclaimer
The signals, real-time alerts, chart-pattern classifications, candlestick detections, price levels, fundamental data, AI-generated catalyst summaries, and any other content provided through StockSetups are produced by automated analysis for informational purposes only. They do not account for your personal financial situation, objectives, or risk tolerance.
- No advice, no adviser relationship. Nothing here is personalized investment advice. The same automated, general information is published to every user. SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC is not registered with the SEC, any state, FINRA, or the CFTC as an investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor, or financial planner, and using StockSetups creates no fiduciary or adviser–client relationship.
- Labels are not recommendations. Words like “setup”, “breaking”, “picks”, “grade”, “score”, “conviction”, “entry”, “stop” and “target” describe whether a chart meets fixed technical criteria. They are not advice to buy, sell, or hold.
- No guarantee. Past pattern performance does not guarantee future results. Detected patterns frequently fail, and no signal is a prediction of future price.
- Trade plans are algorithmic. Every entry, stop, target and reward-to-risk figure is computed automatically by a fixed formula from the chart's levels and volatility. No person reviews it for you, it is not a recommendation to place that trade, and it does not consider your account, goals or risk tolerance. A stop is not a guaranteed exit: prices can gap, halt or slip through it, and a target may never be reached.
- Your trades are your responsibility. Whether, when, and how much to trade is entirely your decision. SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC is not responsible for any loss, missed gain or other outcome from a trade you place, whether or not it followed a signal, alert or trade plan shown here.
- Results shown are hypothetical. Report-card and track-record figures measure each signal against its own plan on daily closes. They are hypothetical, are not actual trades, exclude commissions, slippage and taxes, and are computed with the benefit of hindsight — real results will differ.
- Alerts can be late or missed. Real-time alerts, prices and news depend on third-party feeds and networks and may arrive delayed, out of order, or not at all.
- Data may be wrong. Market and company data is sourced from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Verify independently before acting.
- AI content can be wrong. Catalyst summaries, picks write-ups, recaps, articles and chat replies are written by AI models and may contain errors. They are not research reports.
- Our own positions. SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC, its members and affiliates may hold or trade securities shown on StockSetups. Signals are generated by software and are not selected based on those positions.
- Automated trading is your risk. If you send alerts to a webhook, bot or broker, you alone are responsible for the orders it places.
- High-risk trading. Low-priced, thinly traded and volatile stocks, options, margin and short selling carry elevated risk; some can lose more than you invest. Only trade money you can afford to lose.
- Do your own research. Always conduct your own due diligence and consider consulting a licensed professional before making any investment decision.
Privacy policy
SCRIPTTHEMARKET LLC respects your privacy. This section explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account data — your email address and authentication details, used to create and secure your account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile from Google to create your account; Google's own privacy policy governs that sign-in.
- Billing data — subscription status and plan. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Preferences — settings such as which emails and notifications you receive, and how you trade (day or swing), which sets up your Home page.
- Product activity — while you're signed in, which features you use and which symbols you open, stored with your account to improve the product and to show what changed on the symbols you follow.
- Push notifications — if you turn on browser notifications, we store your browser's push subscription (an address and keys issued by its push service, such as Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft) and the topics you chose. Notifications are delivered through that service. Turn them off in your settings or your browser.
- Cancellation feedback — if you cancel, the reason you pick and any comment you write, and whether you took a retention offer.
- Content you create — watchlists, saved scans, alert rules and the webhook addresses you send alerts to, portfolio entries, chart drawings, and messages you send us.
- Chat messages — what you type into the chat on our site (shown to visitors who aren't signed in), the page you were on, and your IP address (to limit abuse). Each message is sent to Anthropic to generate the reply. We keep a copy of the conversation (the messages, the page, and any discount code it offered — not your IP address) for 90 days so we can read what visitors ask and fix wrong answers; your browser also keeps it in session storage until you close the tab. If you ask the chat to pass a question to our team, the email address and name you give, a summary and the conversation are emailed to our support inbox so we can reply.
- Email-only signups — if you sign up for the free nightly board email without an account, we store your email address, when you signed up and confirmed, and whether you unsubscribed. We email it only after you confirm, plus one note about the Pro trial a week later; every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- Technical data — logs and cookies required to operate the Service.
- Usage data — pages viewed, the referring site, browser and device type, and approximate location from your IP address, collected by our analytics and advertising tags (Vercel Web Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Reddit Pixel — see the Cookie Policy).
- Visit source — the site and page you first arrived from (and the latest one, if you came back from elsewhere) plus any campaign tag, stored with your account when you sign up. If you arrived from one of our Google or Microsoft ads, this includes that ad click's identifier, and if you later pay for Pro we report the payment (amount and time, never your name or email) back to that ad network against the click.
How we use it
- To provide, secure, and maintain the Service and your account;
- To process subscriptions and send transactional messages and emails you opt into;
- To understand which pages and sources bring visitors and members, and to measure and improve our advertising;
- To respond to support requests and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party ads on StockSetups. We do use Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Reddit tags to measure our own ads, and those providers may use cookies to show our ads to past visitors (see the Cookie Policy for how to opt out).
Service providers
We share data only with the vendors that run the Service on our behalf, under their respective terms and privacy policies:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting;
- Vercel — application hosting and cookieless web analytics;
- Railway — hosting for our real-time alerts engine and background jobs, which read your alert rules to deliver the alerts you set up;
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Resend — email delivery (account, billing, digest, nightly board and alert emails);
- Cloudflare — the bot check on sign-up and sign-in (Turnstile), and routing of email sent to our support address;
- Google — sign-in with Google, Google Analytics, and Google Ads conversion measurement and remarketing;
- Microsoft — Microsoft Advertising (UET) conversion measurement and remarketing;
- Reddit — Reddit Pixel conversion measurement and remarketing;
- Anthropic — AI-written market summaries: the “why it's moving” catalysts, daily ranked picks and movers recaps (we send only public market data and news headlines — no personal data); and the replies of the site chat, which receives the messages you type there;
- Browser push services (Google, Mozilla, Apple, Microsoft) — delivery of the browser notifications you turn on;
- Databento — market price data, and SEC EDGAR — company fundamentals (we send no personal data to these providers).
If you set up webhook alerts, we send those alerts to the address you choose (for example a Discord or Slack channel); that service's own terms apply there.
We also read from public, read-only datasets to power our boards and dossiers — FINRA (short-interest and short-volume data), Yahoo Finance (per-ticker news headlines), the Nasdaq trading-halt feed, ApeWisdom (Reddit ticker mentions, the sentiment board), and the official US House Clerk & Senate eFD STOCK Act disclosures plus US OGE executive-branch filings (the Congress trades board). We send no personal data to these sources.
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as we need it. When you ask us to delete your account, everything stored with it is deleted, except billing records we must keep.
- Account data, preferences and content you create — while your account exists.
- Billing records — as long as the law requires for tax and accounting; Stripe keeps card and payment records under its own policy.
- Product activity (features used, symbols opened) — 13 months, then deleted automatically.
- Cancellation feedback — kept while useful for product decisions, and deleted when you ask us to delete your account.
- Push subscriptions — until you turn notifications off, or your browser's push service reports the subscription expired.
- Email-only signups — until you ask us to delete it; after you unsubscribe we keep only the record that you did, so you aren't emailed again.
- Chat — transcripts 90 days, then deleted; questions passed to our team are kept in our support inbox like any other email to us.
- Email delivery logs — kept by Resend under its own retention policy.
- Analytics and advertising data — kept by Google and Microsoft under their retention settings; hosting logs by Vercel and Supabase for their limited log periods.
- Real-time alert tape (market events, not personal data) — 30 days.
Your rights & choices
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data by contacting us;
- Turn off any product email in your account settings or with the unsubscribe link in each email;
- Block analytics and advertising cookies, or opt out of ad personalization (see the Cookie Policy);
- Send a Global Privacy Control signal: we then skip the Microsoft Advertising tag and Reddit Pixel and run Google's tag without ad cookies or ad personalization;
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies in our cookie banner, and change your choice any time from Cookie settings;
- Cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal.
Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
