Scalping
An ultra-short-term style taking many small profits from tiny price moves, often holding seconds to minutes.
Scalpers trade the smallest timeframe, aiming for many quick wins of a few cents to a few percent, relying on speed, tight spreads and high relative volume. The edge is in repetition and execution; a single large loss can erase a day of small gains, so discipline and instant stops are everything.
It demands the lowest latency and the most screen time of any style, and works best in the most liquid names where you can get in and out without slippage. It's the fastest end of day trading.
On StockSetups
Scalpers can use StockSetups' real-time tape, halts feed and Top List to find the highest-RVOL, most-liquid names in motion, then execute at their own broker — the scan flags where the action is, not the second-by-second fills.
