VWAP (Volume-Weighted Average Price)
The average price weighted by volume over a session — a benchmark big traders use to judge whether they're buying or selling at a good price.
VWAP resets each day and tracks the volume-weighted average of every trade. Price above VWAP means the average buyer today is in profit (bullish control); price below means the average buyer is underwater (bearish).
Intraday traders use VWAP as dynamic support/resistance and as a 'fair value' line — reclaiming VWAP or holding above it is a common momentum tell.
On StockSetups
VWAP is a core reference on StockSetups' real-time engine, which fires intraday VWAP-cross alerts; the daily side also tracks anchored VWAP from the 52-week high and low pivots.
